ABOUT THE ARTIST

Alex Serra is a musician and explorer, from the Mediterranean city of Barcelona. His debut album ‘In the Real World’ (2019) springs from an inspiring four-year self-discovery journey starting in 2012 and taking him through Latin America and South Africa, where he connects with musicians from different musical roots that permeate his music with a unique and regenerating energy.

In his return to Barcelona, Alex connects with Totidub (Toti Arimany) an amazing Dub producer that becomes a key element in the design of the sonic landscape of this album. Together they create a collection of songs that touch on different generes - downtempo, soul, reggae, dub - and induce the listener into a state of inner listening. The lyrics point towards a 'Real World', a place beyond our limited senses, where space and time cease to exist as we believe them to be.

Jordi Cantos es un músico multi-instrumentalista, compositor y explorador del sonido de Barcelona. Gracias al mágico encuentro con el Handpan comenzó a seguir el sonido de su corazón, llevándolo en un profundo viaje de exploración sonora, transmutando experiencias reales en paisajes sonoros. También toca otros instrumentos como flautas nativas americanas, el ngoni, synth, guitarra, diversas percusiones, y los combina en una loop station creando atmósferas de sonido que inducen a un estado de trance, con la intención de recordar a conectar con el arte del ahora.
